Belstaff revenue rises 3.8 percent in fiscal year 2025 as pre-tax losses narrow

UK heritage fashion brand Belstaff International Limited (Belstaff) has reported a 3.8 percent increase in turnover for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, reaching 56.70 million pounds compared to 54.60 million pounds in 2024.

Gross profit grew 8.6 percent year-over-year (YoY) to 16.67 million pounds, up from 15.35 million pounds, driving gross margin up to 29.4 percent from 28.1 percent due to ongoing product margin focus and inventory optimisation efforts.

Review of financial results

Despite improved gross margins, UK-based Belstaff recorded an operating loss of 3.75 million pounds for 2025, down from an operating profit of 593,246 pounds in the prior year. Management noted that the 2024 operating figure benefited from significant foreign exchange revaluation gains on intercompany loans.

Loss before tax improved significantly to 3.60 million pounds compared to a loss before tax of 15.91 million pounds in 2024, supported by a substantial reduction in finance costs.

Revenue breakdown and strategic shift

The UK remained Belstaff's primary regional market, generating 32.92 million pounds in turnover, up from 32.44 million pounds in 2024. Revenue in the rest of Europe expanded to 21.20 million pounds compared to 19.35 million pounds in the prior period. Rest of the world revenue stood at 2.59 million pounds, down from 2.81 million pounds.

On August 28, 2025, Belstaff was acquired by UK firm J. Carter Sporting Club Limited (J. Carter Sporting Club), which became the ultimate controlling party. Following the transaction, management expects the brand to benefit from integration into the broader group to achieve synergies and expand global operations.

The company's strategic roadmap focuses on enhancing brand image and heritage through a refreshed visual identity, new product categories, and technical fabrications. Belstaff is currently refurbishing its retail store footprint in line with the new store concept and re-evaluating its wholesale customer network to reinforce brand partnerships.
