Euratex signs strategic partnership with Tunisian textile federation

European industry organisation Euratex is strengthening its collaboration with the Fédération Tunisienne du Textile et de l’Habillement (FTTH). According to a press release, the strategic partnership between Euratex and the Tunisian textile federation should strengthen industrial cooperation between the two parties.

Euratex indicates that it aims to strengthen collaborations in the Mediterranean region, partly because of the ever-changing geopolitical and economic situation. At the end of 2024, Euratex signed another agreement with Moroccan organisation Amith. Both Morocco and Tunisia are production hubs close to Europe. Tunisia exported 2.5 billion euros in textiles and clothing to the EU in 2024, Euratex reports.

“Europe and Tunisia share a long-term partnership. Our systems may differ, but our industries are highly complementary. At a time when regulations are changing and environmental ambitions are increasing, cooperation is essential,” said Euratex chairman Mario Jorge Machado. “This memorandum provides a practical framework to improve competitiveness, stimulate innovation and strengthen the resilience of our joint textile ecosystem.”
