Meghan Markle teases new lifestyle brand

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has teased a new lifestyle brand on Instagram named American Riviera Orchard, after the estate in California where she lives with Prince Harry and their children.

The social media account @AmericanRivieraOrchard, which has attracted more than 530,000 followers in four days, went live with a series of images to form the brand’s decorative gold-coloured crest logo with the words ‘American Riviera Orchard Montecito’ beneath.

This was accompanied by a brief retro-style grainy video story showing the Duchess of Sussex baking in the kitchen and arranging flowers.

No further details are shared on the social media account except that the brand is "by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Established 2024". There is also a link to the brand’s website where users can sign up to join its waiting list.

According to pending US trademark applications, American Riviera Orchard appears to be a home, garden and lifestyle brand applying for a ‘goods and services’ trademark. This includes interior décor, such as curtains, linens, lamps, and pillows, as well as kitchenware, candle holders, gardening equipment, stationary, yoga mats and products for pets. There is also an indication it will include food and drink, such as tea, biscuits, preserves and condiments.
