Revolve Group invests 15 million Canadian dollars in activewear brand 437
US fashion giant Revolve Group has invested 15 million Canadian dollars for a minority stake in Toronto-based activewear brand 437, according to WWD.
The investment strengthens Revolve’s position in the activewear category and gives 437 access to the retailer’s digitally focused fashion expertise and customer reach as it looks to scale, the media outlet reported.
“We started 437 with the belief that activewear should feel as considered as the rest of your wardrobe,” said co-CEO Adrien Bettio. “Revolve understands how our customer dresses and lives, and this partnership lets us bring 437 to more women without compromising the brand we’ve built.”
The deal follows Revolve’s recent partnership with designer Donatella Versace, who is set to launch a new fashion and beauty business with the group, serving as chief creative officer. The brand will initially launch in beauty, with its name and first products to be announced in the coming months.
Founded in 2016 by co-chief executive officers Adrien Bettio and Hyla Nayeri, 437 is marking its 10th anniversary this year. The brand initially launched as a swimwear label before transitioning fully into activewear in 2023.
