Roxoa enters administration after 19 years
UK jewellery company Roxoa Group Ltd has entered administration, placing its portfolio of four online jewellery brands under uncertainty after nearly two decades in business.
According to a notice published in The Gazette, Iain David Nairn and Sean Williams of Leonard Curtis were appointed joint administrators of the Gateshead-based company on August 13. Roxoa was founded in 2007 and operates QP Jewellers, Gold Boutique, Ruby & Oscar and Bail & Stone.
The group has built an online retail portfolio around jewellery spanning gold, platinum, sterling silver, gemstones and diamonds. At the time of writing, the websites for the four consumer-facing brands remain operational.
The administration notice lists Roxoa Group’s nature of business as advertising agencies and identifies its registered office and principal trading address in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. No further details regarding the future of the group's brands, operations or workforce were provided in the notice. It remains unclear whether the businesses will continue trading, be sold or face closure.
