N Brown Group has appointed Arfan Sabir as its new trading and marketing director, a newly created role that unifies the company’s trading and marketing functions to strengthen its commercial focus and enhance the customer experience.

With more than 25 years of experience transforming digital and omnichannel retailers, including senior ecommerce positions at Lego, Mothercare, Dreams, and most recently as vice president of e-commerce at Avnet, Sabir is expected to help accelerate N Brown’s growth trajectory.

“The creation of the Trading and Marketing Director role reflects our commitment to driving commercial excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience,” said Dene Jones, CEO of retail at N Brown, adding that Sabir’s background in digital transformation makes him the ideal candidate to lead the combined function.

Sabir noted that integrating trading and marketing will sharpen the Group’s commercial focus and support a more cohesive, customer-led approach.

Headquartered in Manchester and employing over 1,200 people, N Brown is one of the UK’s top 10 digital clothing and footwear retailers, operating brands such as JD Williams, Simply Be, and Jacamo.
