Lemaire appoints Clarisse Godbillon as managing director
French fashion house Lemaire has appointed Clarisse Godbillon to the position of managing director. She succeeds Laetitia Mergui, who left the company a few months ago.
Godbillon is already familiar with the house. According to her LinkedIn profile, she previously served there as chief financial officer and subsequently chief operating officer before joining Jacquemus as COO. She returned to Lemaire in September to take on the role of managing director.
This appointment comes as Lemaire continues its retail expansion. The company opened a new boutique at the Palais-Royal in Paris last May, following the launch of its third store in China in Beijing earlier this year.
“Some houses have a soul. Lemaire is one of them,” Godbillon wrote in a post on LinkedIn. “It is an honour to take over as managing director and a true joy to continue its story with teams whose high standards and passion I share.”
