Executive changes are underway at Puma.
The German company will start September without senior vice president of sales Andrew Rudolph and vice president of global sports marketing and sports licensing Johan Adamsson. Both announced their departures from Puma within days from each other.
Rudolph, who joined Puma in 2023 after spending years at Cole Haan and Adidas, shared his career update on LinkedIn. “After almost 3 years leading the US & Canada Sales teams, today is my last day with Puma. Thank you to Bob Philion and Tara McRae for giving me the opportunity to lead the Wholesale organization, and thanks to all the cross-functional business partners that I've had the pleasure to meet and work alongside; your support and partnership have been incredible,” he said.
The footwear veteran seemingly hinted that he will join On after leaving Puma. “My next chapter begins soon, more to come On that.....,” he wrote, without giving any confirmation.
Adamsson’s departure was announced by Puma through a statement on August 19, as previously reported by FashionUnited.
“Throughout his career at Puma, Johan has played an important role in the development of our Sports Marketing organization and contributed to many of the athlete, team and federation partnerships that have helped strengthen PUMA’s position as a global sports brand,” said Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld. “I would like to thank him for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success for the future.”
Adamsson will leave the company on Monday. Until a successor is announced, CEO Arthur Hoeld will lead sports marketing on an interim basis and oversee all related activities.
