US-based apparel technology firm Unspun, the developer of OneWeave 3D weaving technology, has appointed Deborah Palmer Keiser as chief operating officer and Michael Rabin as chief commercial officer.

Keiser brings over three decades of operational and supply chain experience across consumer brands including Gap, Victoria's Secret, Williams-Sonoma, AllSaints, Yeezy and Boardriders. At Williams-Sonoma, she assisted in establishing the brand portfolio across 16 countries. In her subsequent role as global chief operating officer of Boardriders, she managed end-to-end planning, sourcing, logistics and distribution operations. At Unspun, Keiser will oversee operational functions as the business transitions OneWeave into commercial deployment.

Rabin adds 15 years of experience in textile machinery, automation and apparel manufacturing. He previously served as sales director of the Americas and president of the Americas region for cutting-room technology firm Morgan Tecnica. As chief commercial officer, Rabin will lead the development of the commercial division at Unspun while driving adoption of the technology among global manufacturers and brand partners.

“Joining Unspun is an exciting opportunity to help evolve how textiles and clothing are manufactured,” said Keiser. “For generations we have replicated and scaled the same methodologies exacerbating issues of waste across supply chains. OneWeave has the potential to fundamentally challenge our beliefs and practices around responsiveness, end-to-end cost, and systemic waste, and I am thrilled to contribute my experience in scaling operations as the company moves this technology into commercial deployment.”

Rabin added: “After more than 30 years as a manufacturer and solution provider, I have never seen anything like what Unspun is doing with OneWeave. It is a genuinely differentiated technology tackling one of the apparel industry's biggest challenges, with a clear path to commercial impact.”

The additions bolster the operational and commercial infrastructure at Unspun as the company advances its automated yarn-to-product manufacturing platform.
