Gap teams up with DoorDash to deliver back-to-school styles on-demand

Gap is the latest apparel brand joining an on-demand delivery app this season. DoorDash announced on Tuesday a new partnership with the global retailer that will allow consumers to shop Gap and Gap Factory styles, promising over half a million products eligible for delivery in under an hour across multiple categories.

"We're focused on creating seamless experiences that bring customers closer to the products they love,” Mark Breitbard, president and CEO of Gap Brand, said in a statement. “Partnering with DoorDash extends the reach of Gap and Gap Factory, combining iconic style with the convenience and immediacy that our customers expect."

In Q1 2026, DoorDash provided fast third-party delivery within reach for over 60 percent of the U.S. population, with a median delivery time of 30 minutes or less, according to the company.

The new partnership comes just in time for back-to-school season.

“Back-to-school season can sneak up on families. Sometimes it’s a day or two before school starts, and you realize last year’s clothes don’t fit or there’s simply no time for one more errand,” said Shanna Prevé, chief revenue officer at DoorDash. “With Gap and Gap Factory on DoorDash, families can get kids’ essentials and everyday favorites delivered quickly, helping make a busy season a little easier.”

To mark the launch, Gap and Gap Factory will offer limited-time promotions from August 17 to 23 on DoorDash.

Earlier this year, DoorDash announced a collaboration with Urban Outfitters. Pacsun, Foot Locker, and DSW have also started similar partnerships with Urban Eats ahead of back-to-school season.
