InstaMall CEO Elliot Aboud on bringing same-day delivery to luxury fashion
The founder and CEO of InstaMall, who previously helped grow fragrance brands Aroma360 and Hotel Collection to more than 30 US stores and two in Dubai, has launched an app in Miami offering same-day delivery from more than 80 brands, including Balmain, Ganni and Reformation.
“InstaMall is bridging the gap between the immediacy of in-store shopping and the convenience of e-commerce, bringing same-day delivery to some of the most sought-after fashion brands,” Aboud told FashionUnited.
The app, available on iOS and Android, links shoppers to real-time inventory at stores across five of Miami’s main retail destinations: Miami Design District, Brickell City Centre, The Shops at Merrick Park, Bal Harbour Shops and Aventura Mall. Other labels on the platform include Louis Vuitton, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Coach, Diesel, Aritzia and Cult Gaia. InstaMall works with the brands’ Miami stores rather than with the brand head offices, and the stores keep control of inventory and pricing.
Aboud said the idea grew out of “the growing demand for more seamless and convenient ways to shop for fashion, from discovering new brands and styles to accessing favorite designers with fast, same-day delivery.” The aim, he added, is to offer the speed customers know from food and grocery delivery “while preserving the premium shopping experience that both retailers and customers value.”
Lessons from physical retail
Aboud’s background is in bricks-and-mortar retail. At Aroma360 and Hotel Collection, he oversaw the opening of the first store and the expansion that followed.
“My experience helping grow Aroma360 and Hotel Collection from their first retail location to more than 30 stores across the U.S. and two in Dubai gave me a firsthand understanding of what it takes to scale a retail business while maintaining a consistent, elevated customer experience,” he said. “One of the biggest takeaways was understanding the importance of convenience, accessibility, and creating a seamless connection between brands and consumers.”
He sees that experience feeding directly into InstaMall. “As consumer expectations continue to evolve, I saw an opportunity to bring the convenience of on-demand shopping to luxury and contemporary fashion without compromising the experience customers expect from their favorite brands,” he said.
AI styling and virtual try-on
Beyond delivery, the app includes an AI stylist that recommends products, builds outfits and answers shoppers’ questions in real time. A virtual try-on feature lets users see selected items on themselves before buying.
“With InstaMall, we’re combining real-time inventory, AI-powered personalization and same-day delivery to make discovering and shopping for fashion more intuitive, accessible and convenient,” Aboud said.
Expansion plans
InstaMall plans to add more brands in the coming weeks and seasons, and to expand nationally. New York, Los Angeles and Texas are the next target markets. The company says it is prioritising cities with a strong luxury and contemporary retail presence and growing consumer demand for convenience.
