Lacoste, Whistles and Skopes are set to be the latest names to join Meadowhall’s impressive portfolio of fashion retailers following the shopping centre's multi-million-pound refurbishment last year.

Lacoste will open a 1,700 square foot store on a 10 year lease, Whistles will open a 990 square foot store on a 5 year lease, and Skopes will open a 2,300 square foot store on a 10 year lease. The North Face will be upsizing its current store to a 2,600 square foot store on a 10 year lease.

The shopping centre has welcomed stores from G-Star Raw, Godiva, Flannels, Neal’s Yard and Diesel since the completion of its 60 million pound refurbishment by joint owner British Land in 2017, while brands such as River Island, Primark and JD Sports have expanded their presence at the centre.

British Land also announced that its new brands have experienced an average boost in website traffic of 53 percent since joining the shopping centre.

“High-quality, well located retail space plays a crucial role in omni-channel retail, evident by the relationship between online traffic and opening a new store at Meadowhall,” Ben Grose, head of national leasing at British Land, said in a statement. “New brands, our events programme and the refurbishment have all ensured shoppers continue to visit and enjoy Meadowhall.”
