Istituto Marangoni Milano presented DYSFLEXION, its annual graduate fashion show for the 2025/2026 academic year, hosting the event at its new Palazzo Turati campus in Milan. The runway featured collections from ten top graduates selected from a pool of over 200 third-year students in the institution's Fashion Design & Accessories undergraduate program.
Centered on fluid identity and structural transformation, the showcase presented work evaluated by a technical jury of industry professionals, including creative directors, buyers, and talent scouts such as Marco Rambaldi, Galib Gassanoff, and Satoshi Kuwata.
The selected collections demonstrated a focus on material experimentation, deconstruction, and technical craftsmanship. Student designs ranged from Alessandro Bonasi's exploration of torsions and genderless drapery to Ziming Quan's combination of sixties futurism and origami, alongside Sara Madella's deconstructivist approach to ready-made objects.
To complement the physical show, the school introduced CODEX, an editorial project providing photographic analysis of the design processes behind each collection. The event also integrated major supply chain and industrial partners, including leather developer Bonaudo, Amal Embroideries, Great Lengths, and L'Oréal Italia.
30 finalists
The selection structure, which filtered 200 candidates down to 30 finalists and ultimately 10 runway presenters, reflects standard industry practices within fashion education curricula. Direct collaboration with specialized textile manufacturers and global beauty groups provides graduating students with hands-on exposure to production and presentation standards required by commercial luxury brands.
Operating across ten global locations and reporting a 91 percent graduate employment rate, the institution's focus on high-visibility showcases at new physical hubs like Palazzo Turati forms part of a broader strategy to maintain curriculum relevance and institutional competitiveness in fashion education.
