Louis Vuitton ends Kris Wu's contract

Louis Vuitton has cut ties with Chinese Canadian actor, singer, rapper, and producer Kris Wu. Wu has found himself in a scandal over sexual assault allegations and predatory behavior by Du Meizhu, a woman saying that she was one of the star’s many victims.

Louis Vuitton took to social media app Weibo to say that they would be suspending their relationship with Wu due to the allegations. Porsche and Bulgari have already cut ties with Wu. The pop star continues to deny the allegations.

South China Morning Post reported that Wu’s agent asked Meizhu to go to Wu’s home on December 5 on the pretext of her selecting her to appear in a music video. Over ten people played games and drank at his home that evening. Wu and Du had sex that night, according to a police statement, and Wu transferred 4950 dollars to Du for online shopping on December 8. The two continued to communicate on messenger app WeChat until April 2021.

The police statement contradict’s Wu’s denial that he had any sexual involvement with Meizhu at all, saying he only met her once last December at a gathering of friends. Wu is still under investigation for allegations of date rape against other young women.
