Marcolin and Marchon: new executive appointments
Marcolin and Marchon Eyewear, companies part of Vsp Vision, have announced new appointments. The new organisation establishes integrated leadership in key geographical areas. According to a statement, the objective is to foster greater collaboration between the Marcolin and Marchon structures, accelerate decision-making processes, and ensure an increasingly effective and consistent approach towards customers and partners globally.
In this context, Marco D’Acunzo, previously chief executive officer North America of Marcolin, assumes the role of president eyewear Americas. He will be responsible for the activities of Marcolin, Marchon, Altair and Allure. A senior executive with over 15 years of experience working with premium brands in the automotive, sports and hospitality sectors, D’Acunzo will lead the development of the eyewear business in the US, Canada and Latin America.
“These appointments represent an important milestone in the evolution of our eyewear organisation,” Nicola Zotta, president of eyewear and managing director of Marcolin and Marchon Eyewear, stressed in the statement.
“Adopting an increasingly integrated leadership model allows us to strengthen alignment between the different markets, accelerate the integration process and further improve our ability to support customers and brand partners worldwide. Ross Brownlee, Marco D’Acunzo, Lorenzo Barberio and Antonio Castiglione bring an important wealth of expertise and strategic vision. This will contribute to guiding the next chapter of our organisation's growth and generating sustainable value in the long term.”
Antonio Castiglione, currently general manager of Marcolin Mexico, is appointed managing director Latam. This region includes Mexico, Brazil and South America, for both Marcolin and Marchon Eyewear.
Marcolin and Marchon also announce the appointment of Ross Brownlee, effective September 1, as president eyewear Emea & Apac. This is a new position created to lead the two regions as a single, fully integrated business unit. Brownlee has extensive international experience in the eyewear sector. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer of Hilco Vision, after holding numerous senior leadership positions in the industry. In his new role, he will be responsible for the performance, organisation and strategic direction of the integrated activities in the Emea and Apac regions.
At the same time, Lorenzo Barberio, formerly head of sales Apac at Marcolin, has been appointed managing director Apac of Marcolin and Marchon. With over 20 years of international experience in the luxury and fashion sectors, Barberio will lead the integrated organisation of the Asia Pacific region. He will enhance synergies between the two companies' teams and support their growth path.
These appointments, the statement explains, are part of the broader integration process between Marcolin and Marchon. This process is progressively involving all corporate functions in view of the full unification of the two organisations, scheduled for early 2027.
