Spanish fashion labels Bimba y Lola and Palomo Spain unveiled a capsule collection inspired by Iberian folklore during New York Fashion Week.
The collaborative ‘Bimba y Palomo’ collection aims to serve as a “communal space,” explains both brands in the show notes, bridging Bimba y Lola’s vibrant female community with the “unapologetically sensual and provocative representation of masculinity” established by Palomo Spain.
The result is a creative dialogue that draws inspiration from Iberian folklore and utilises the timeless rose as its primary print and motif to invoke “a passionate, contemporary flamenco essence that transcends geographical boundaries”.
The romantic and sophisticated collection spans dresses, tops, trousers, and knitwear sets in a striking palette of red, black, and white, crafted from premium knitwear, leather, and triacetates.
In addition, the partnership showcases a reinterpretation of Bimba y Lola’s 'Pocket' bag in the shape of a rose, with leather petals and a stem, as well as a selection of jewellery that adds an “Andalusian flair”.
“This collaboration breathes new life into the rich heritage of Bimba y Lola, reimagining its iconic symbols to give birth to an electrifying aesthetic radiating freshness, creative maturity, and sensuality,” added the brands.
The collaboration will launch in October in selected Bimba y Lola stores and online to coincide with the Spanish brand’s expansion into the North American market.
