H&M teams up with Elie Saab for its next collaborative collection
Madrid – Continuing its high-profile collaboration strategy, a dynamic the Swedish fashion multinational pioneered, H&M has just announced the development of a collaborative capsule collection with haute couture designer Elie Saab. The collection will go on sale from October 22, 2026.
Founded in Beirut in 1982 by designer Elie Saab, the creative and his fashion house has since solidified its place in the elevated and exclusive world of haute couture. The Lebanese designer is one of the few international designers from outside France who can use the title in its fullest sense. This came after he became, and has remained, one of the first international designers to show on the official Paris Haute Couture Week calendar. This was a significant step in the history of the brand and the designer. Since then, the name Elie Saab has become a regular fixture in the fashion world and on prominent red carpets at various events, award ceremonies and celebrations around the globe. From these events, alongside the Lebanese house's traditional and eagerly awaited catwalk shows, Saab projects a rich and lavish vision. This creative universe has now been placed at the service of H&M to create one of its emblematic collaborative capsule collections.
“We are delighted to announce this landmark collaboration with Elie Saab,” stated Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of womenswear design at H&M, in a statement released this morning by the Swedish fashion multinational. “Mr Saab is a designer we have always respected. His journey from a master of bridalwear in Beirut to the centre of Parisian fashion is an incredible and rich story. We are very excited to explore his world,” emphasised the head of womenswear at H&M. “Our customers can expect a magical, ornate and very glamorous collection.”
Featuring menswear, womenswear and accessories
The collection will launch on October 22, 2026, in selected H&M stores worldwide and on the Swedish fashion multinational's own e-commerce site. The pieces from this new collaborative H&M capsule collection will be available through these physical and online channels. The first images and key details of the collection have already been released.
Regarding the details, the collection will include clothing for both women and men, a first for a designer who has previously focused exclusively on womenswear, as well as a curated selection of accessories. It has also been revealed that the accessories category will include footwear, among other products. These pieces are specially designed to complete the looks from the collection. It will feature lavishly embellished dresses; garments with shimmering finishes; and tailored pieces. All items are crafted from Elie Saab's creative perspective, incorporating his signature 'savoir-faire' details like lace and dégradé sequins.
“This collection is created for everyone who admires the world of Elie Saab, and I hope it will be received with the same enthusiasm with which it was created,” said the Lebanese designer. “I am very pleased with this collaboration and the way we worked with the H&M team to bring the collection to life. It has been a truly collaborative and inspiring process.” The result is a collection where “each piece has been created with care and dedication,” Saab explained, “bringing together a complete wardrobe that reflects every moment of a woman's life.”
