In an unlikely paring Stüssy and Dries Van Noten have teased a video of a collaboration to be dropped imminently.

Announced via their respective Instagram accounts, both Dries Van Noten and Stüssy revealed a behind-the-scenes campaign video featuring Red Hot Chilli Peppers guitarist Flea wearing a varsity jacket and flame-printed shorts. A caption simply read “Stüssy & Dries Van Noten... c-ya soon”.

Antwerp-based designer Van Noten rarely collaborates with fashion brands, and a partnership with Stüssy, a surf brand founded in Southern California in the 1980s, is the first fashion collab since it teamed up with Christian Lacroix during the SS20 Paris fashion week shows in September 2019.

Celebrities including A$AP Nast were gifted pieces prior to the release, revealing the collection featured items such as a faded black denim jacket and jeans with green spray-printed infinity and peace signs, duo logo-ed baseball caps and a hoodie featuring Dries Van Noten’s signature petal prints and Stüssy graphics.

Stüssy is well known for its pairings with other luxury brands and streetwear labels, having previously dropped collections with Dior, Nike, Birkenstock and BAPE.
