Stone Island revives Massimo Osti's No Seasons project with single jacket in six fabrics

Italian brand Stone Island, part of the Moncler group, has presented a new chapter of No Seasons, a project first developed by founder Massimo Osti between 1989 and 1994. The capsule centres on one outerwear style, produced in six of the brand's signature fabrics.
The jacket comes in Tela Resinata, Nylon Prismatico-TC, Raso Gommato, David-TC, Crinkle Reps NY and Panno. All six versions are dyed in the same 'piombo' colour, so that the differences in tone come from the materials themselves.
Each version features a three-dimensional hood with a tape drawstring, an articulated central panel, two chest pockets with concealed zips, two side pockets and adjustable snap cuffs. According to Stone Island, the project reflects Osti's approach of developing garments over time rather than following seasonal trends.
Skepta and Mike Skinner
As part of the brand's 'Community as a Form of Research' project, British rapper Skepta wears the Tela Resinata version. The fabric is an update of 'Tela Stella', the material Stone Island launched with, and is made with 50 percent recycled cotton coated on both sides with pigmented resins in contrasting tones.
Musician Mike Skinner also wore the Prismatic Nylon-TC jacket when he performed with The Streets on Saturday Night Live UK on October 17. The fabric bonds lightweight nylon to a transparent polyurethane film, making it wind and water resistant.
